What is the history and popularity of the app?

The concept behind QuietWrite was born out of the need for a clean, clutter-free and distraction-free writing space. The creators noted that most places that people write on the internet include a number of unnecessary disturbances, such as a loud site design, cluttered user interface or other annoyance. QuietWrite was designed to give users a calm place to write anything before jumping back into the busy virtual world.

What are the differences to other apps?

QuietWrite is essentially a basic text editor. It offers very simple features, however that seems to be the application’s goal. What makes QuietWrite appealing to users is the clean user interface. The site does not assault the user with content and images. The user instead can focus entirely on their writing while they visit QuietWrite.
